Topsy Market is not a warehouse pretending to be a shop. It is the shops near you, listed with what they have on the shelf today.

A basket that tells you the truth
- Prices are re-checked before you pay
- Grocery prices move. Every line in your basket is compared against what the shop is charging right now before checkout, and the basket updates in front of you. You are never charged a figure you did not see.
- One shop per basket
- A basket belongs to a single shop, because a single courier collects it from a single counter. If you need something from a second shop, that is a second order rather than a rider sent on a tour of Accra.
- Groceries and food stay separate
- The app keeps a market basket and a restaurant order apart. They travel differently, they are prepared differently, and mixing them would cost one of them its timing.
- The delivery charge is worked out first
- The fee comes from the distance between the shop and the address you chose, and it is on the basket screen before you commit rather than added at the door.
- A promo code is validated each time you change something
- Add or remove an item and the code is checked again. If it no longer qualifies, it comes off where you can see it.
What happens after you tap pay

The shop receives the order
It arrives on the shop's dashboard as a numbered order, not as a message somebody has to scroll back to find. The order number begins TPSORD.

Someone picks the items
The shop accepts the order and starts putting it together, against the preparation time it set for itself when it registered.

A courier is called at the right moment
Topsy holds the courier request back until the pick is nearly done, so a rider is not waiting at the counter and your shopping is not standing in the sun.

You watch it come to you
Once the courier has collected the order, their position appears on your map and stays there until they reach you.

Handover with a code
The courier confirms the drop with a four-digit code. The order is stamped delivered, and every state before it keeps its timestamp.
Including the way most of Accra pays
Cash on delivery is a first-class option here, not a grudging fallback. Plenty of shopping is still settled at the door, and pretending otherwise just moves the problem to the courier.
Everything is priced and paid in Ghana cedis (GH₵), and each order can be downloaded as an invoice.

- Paid to the courier at handover, and marked paid on the order at that moment.
- Mobile money
- MTN MoMo or Telecel Cash, approved with a prompt on your handset.
- Card
- A debit or credit card, with the extra bank verification step where your bank asks for it.
- Wallet
- Your Topsy balance, the same one rides and deliveries draw on.
- Refunds
- An order cancelled while it is still Placed returns the full amount to your Topsy wallet.
The order does not disappear
Most grocery apps end at the door. The parts you need later, the receipt and the record of what went wrong, are the parts that get dropped.
- Every state the order passed through is kept with its time
- Order history can be filtered down to your market orders
- A rating covers the shop and each individual item you bought
- An invoice can be downloaded for any order
- A support ticket enters the same queue the Topsy team works from

Can I shop on this website?
No. Topsy Market runs in the Topsy customer app. Rides and Topsy Send deliveries can be booked here on the web.
What happens if a price changed since I added it?
The basket is re-checked against live shop prices before checkout and updated. You always confirm against the current figure.
Can I order from two shops at once?
Not into one basket. A basket is collected by one courier from one counter, so a second shop is a second order.
Which areas does Topsy Market cover?
Greater Accra, including Tema, Madina, Adenta and Ashaiman. Which shops you see depends on how close they are to your delivery address. The coverage pages list the towns currently served.
Can I still pay cash?
Yes. Cash on delivery is collected by the courier at handover and recorded against the order.
I run a shop. Can I sell here?
